FAQ # 1:
Q: How does Lodgepole Pine compare to Cedar?

A: Lodgepole Pine is ideal for Wood Siding because it has intergrown tight knots that do not shrink or pop out. Also the knots are non-resinous thus will not bleed resins through the paint coating. Lodgepole Pine readily accepts all types of paints and stains. Lodgepole Pine does not contain resins or tannins so you do not get extractive bleeding through the paint coating.
